We’ll be arranging a walk about every fortnight to begin with, in order to discuss and take note of our local history, wildlife and the natural history around us. Everyone in the community has general or specific knowledge which we can share on these expeditions.
Our first walk on the 26th Sept was short (not surprising, given the weather) but interesting – down Lon Fudur to the Cegin and back, taking in the derelict “factory” downstream of the mill at Bryn Howel, the sand quarries, the remains of Bryn Howel Bach, a lovely stretch of wetland and the River Cegin itself.
