Who are Parchu Pentir Respect?

Many years ago the residents of Pentir hamlet and Rhyd-y-Groes came together to form a community group, as part of the Welsh government’s Tidy Towns scheme. It’s proven to be a fantastic way for neighbours to meet and talk about local matters. Our focus is on improving the local environment through, for instance, litter picking and planting flowers. We aim to cater for all age groups and abilities. Meetings are held in member’s homes (on hold during the Coronavirus period) in the second week of the month at 7.30pm. The meetings are open to all the residents of Pentir.

Activities

Litter picking, planting flowers, rescuing toads, hog roast, guided walks, open air communal lunch, Fun Run, securing a reduction in the speed limit. These are just some of our activities down the years.

Local Services

We have compiled a list of community services and local providers of essentials, such as veg boxes or other groceries, for home delivery, or collection by volunteers.

Coronavirus

Our group of volunteers support people who are self-isolating, in a variety of ways. If you need support or would like to volunteer for the support group please get in touch via post@pentir.org.uk
