After having to postpone the bluebell collection a week, we found ourselves on a glorious sunny day, in a most beautiful part of Wales, on Sunday 10th October. We worked with Vera Bluebell, who is one of the select few licensed to collect bluebell bulbs and seeds.
5 grown-ups and 4 children, along with Vera, shared the tasks of digging up the bulbs (the hard work) and collecting the seeds (relaxed and meditative). We had some lunch together and Vera showed us how she separates the seeds from the chaff!
We hope to return next summer.
