Growing for Change

A group of nine of us paid Growing for Change a second visit on 18th July.

We met Paul and Sarah who showed us around their jam packed Poly tunnels, Caterpillar tunnels and lush outside areas.

The polytunnels were full of Tomatoes in a variety of shapes, colours and sizes with Basil, Green Beans and several different salad leaves growing at the bottom of each row.
The Caterpillar tunnels contained stripey Aubergines, Cucumbers and Melons while outside were masses of salad leaves and greens growing in neat rows beneath the shade providing trees.

We also saw great slopes of wildflowers along the sides of the Rhubarb banks.
Everything was thriving ( except for the rabbit nibbled carrots) and everywhere looked tidy and very well organized.

Once again we were impressed and inspired at the huge amount of positive work that goes on here.

We presented Paul and Sarah with a donation to go towards their funds as a token of our appreciation for giving us their time.
