There have also been some new birds for 2020 arriving in the area. We have been hearing two cuckoos, on Moelyci and Moel Rhiwen, over the last couple of weeks. A cuckoo was spotted on Saturday, being chased by a smaller bird, at the highest point of the track flanking Moelyci. Pied Flycatchers, Greenfinches and Grasshopper Warblers are in the vicinity of Pentir. A pair of Wheatears have been seen in the cemetery and a Red Kite has been flying around the slopes and fields of Moelyci.
